Eppendorf® twin.tec PCR板的优势源于两种材料的结合：孔是由聚丙烯原材料生产的，这也是用于PCR管较好的材料；聚碳酸酯，一种特别坚硬的材料构成板的框架和裙边。这个一体化设计由于采用先进的注射模制技术（Twin-shot 技术）而实现。
聚碳酸酯提高了twin.tec PCR板的机械稳定性和操作简便性。其高硬度的特点改善了PCR之前、反应过程中、之后板框架的平行性，确保了更好的密封性。较小的裙边松垂度是使用自动系统和连接机器人的较好选择。这些所有的特性也同样适用于手动操作的分子生物学工作，成批可靠的PCR结果已经证明了这一成果。
聚丙烯使您的孔具有惰性的、不易潮湿的表面因而防止DNA、RNA和酶结合并提高回收率，即便当您进行较微量体积 的扩增。可提供管壁厚度减少20%的Eppendorf twin.tec PCR板。孔与加热模块间较好的契合，确保从模块到样品间的热传递不受干扰。加高的孔边缘具有较优的密封效果，减少了交叉污染。所有常用的密封方法都适用：排管盖，粘封膜和金属箔，以及能 较大限度防止蒸发的热密封。
